Late afternoon in Capri.
You’ve just come back from the grotto, salt drying on your skin, legs tired from the swim and the climb back up the rocks.

You sit without planning to, a shaded table, a cool drink, lemon set beside the glass. The waiter gives a small wink as he sets it down.

Water beads onto the tray, leaving soft rings that disappear as quickly as they came.

The sea is still visible between the buildings, shifting in the same slow rhythm.

For a while, nowhere else feels necessary.
